The myth of the quick fix to medical problems - the tablet - is the cure and the problem. Every prescribed medication including paracetamol have side effects as well as the desired effects. Patients are misled to think that if they describe the problems well the doctor will supply the solution e.g. depression needs anti-depressants, psychosis needs anti-psychotics. Read Joanna Moncrieff UK based psychiatrist's excellent book - The Myth of the Chemical Cure. In summary: these so called medications don't do what they say in the description, just an altered state of conciousness where if you are lucky the benefit effects outweigh the unwanted side effects and the patient is more likely to keep taking the tablets. Some anti-depressants actually can induce suicidal ideas!

Oh hai D&E :)

Great to see you posting again, and yes I agree totally.

Perhaps all the creams are actually mayonnaise with varying levels of vinegar?

We will never know!

Agreed Doris... Who wouldn't swap a bad night's sleep for stomach cramps, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, viral infections or possibly a mild stroke of some sort?
